AUGUST 2016 – MONTHLY INCOME REPORT – MAKING MONEY ONLINE WITH EBAY & AMAZON

What a month! August was simply a great month for me overall. Summer was here I was able to enjoy being in nature and enjoying summer more than I ever had before. I was able to go to my favorite beer festival and spend tons of time with family & friends in the Adirondacks. It was really a moment for me this month when I realized how awesome being self employed really is and how happy I am that I took a chance and started this new venture. Even though I did all these great things I still had to make time for my business and realized I can shift my focus to different areas depending on what is happening with my life.
I honestly only put effort into two areas of my business this month:

  1. Merch by Amazon- I was able to get over 200 new designs up this month after switching to Adobe Illustrator and it gave me a massive growth opportunity and you will see in next months report how massive I was able to push sales even after almost doubling this month!
  2. YouTube – I was able to work on video in bulk then and and release when i was away from my home office. This was great because I was able to address many of my Subscribers questions that I have been logging  and  I received a ton of great feedback.

With eBay all I really did this month was ship items that sold and because my inventory was around 600 items I was able to have a pretty good month!

making money online

Oh July!

This will definitely be one of my lightest income reports that you will see in the next 6 months. It was a tough month to stay disciplined as the weather was amazing in the 90’s almost everyday of the month in New York which is very rare and lots of things to do! However I do feel confident my month was not wasted i did get 100 new designs up on Merch by Amazon which is starting to pay off in the last week or so which I am very excited about and you will see the growth in the future reports because of it.  I only put up about 100 listings on eBay in the month of July bringing my store inventory to 600 items to close the month.  Without talking much more lets get down to the numbers below. I did see very good growth in many areas that I am happy about outside of revenue!

June 2016 – Monthly Income Report – Making Money Online

July 1, 2016

Report 2

Let me start off by saying how grateful I am to be writing this report this month. I had a really amazing month in sales and In life!
I feel so lucky to be able to have the tie and freedom to do what I love everyday and see the results coming in and paying off. This months numbers rocked!  I actually was sick with shingles for 2 weeks out of the month and did very little work however I was still able to do well because I had some inventory built up form the previous months, I kept expenses low, and Merch by Amazon is continuing to grow and is producing higher numbers every week!

Even though eBay input was limited I put efforts into other area’s of my business this month like Youtube, Social Media, and Merch on the digital side of the buisness and will continue to see that work pay off in the long run so I look forward to sharing the effects in the months to come.

I am running a GIVEAWAY this month to celebrate everyone who has been following me on the website and Youtube! If you have not already signed up go to this link for a chance to win. You have until July 15th to submit and entry.

The one thing that is growing slower than I expected is the website traffic, however it as only at month 3 so I will continue to add content and value and know that I will get more search results and new readers in the long term and hope that it Adds value to others lives and buisness.

Now, On to the statistics!

Social Media Growth

This is another area I have been working on growing across the board and have started to see some good growth in followers and really wanted to track this also to see how my strategies were working and to look back and see the growth I was gaining in each account in relation to the amount of effort or tactics I used in that month.

The month of June went very well for me in all areas including social media. As you can see there was some good growth on all accounts from the previous month. The largest growth was with Pinterest. I was able to focus on this and see a growth in over 1000 followers in 1 month! I have created a group board and that is really starting to pick up and I am seeing lots of Repins and Follows from that which is very nice to see. I am also on the Verge of reaching 1000 Youtube subscribers this month which is AMAZING and I am so thankful to everyone that has been following my journey so far and I look to reach at least 5000 subscribers by 2017.

Income Reports

May 2016 – Monthly Income Report

June 1, 2016

So my numbers on paper are deceiving this month to say the least. There are two things that are very important to look at in this income report and remember that this was my first month selling Full-Time on eBay and that i had one thing on my mind, GROWTH.  I know that my buisness is scalable and that one of the biggest things that will help my buisness model in the next few months will be having a nice inventory of stock and bigger ticket items along with the normal monthly listings. For the month of May I added over 300 new items to my store and sourced over 400 items. The value of these items in my eBay store as of today is $18,000 and the amount that i actually spent on sourcing these items was a fraction of that cost as you will see below. If you looking at my Thrifting Travels Post you will see I came across a very good area to source and did not hold back, I was able to get all of those items up in one weeks time and now they will start bringing in money for my store. I will still be sourcing this month and my goal is to add at least 250 more items to my store in June however I should see much higher numbers based on the inventory I now have in stock over the previous months. On a positive note there was good growth in my eBay gross sales this month and as long as that number continues to grow quickly I know I am on the right track!

The second topic that I would like to shed more light on is the cost of the Pinterest Ad’s Versus the Pinterest Revenue. They do not look like they correlate in a good way but they really are doing what they are supposed to! The way Merch by Amazon pays is they pay for the previous month April at the End of May. So looking at the previous months income report will give you a better idea of what was paid to make the current months income. Merch is still growing for me and I know that this will grow slowly over time so I am going to continue my current strategy for a few more months and reevaluate then, however it is profitable right now so it will remain as one of my income streams. Also as I am posting this today my Merch by Amazon account was upgraded from 100 to 500 designs so it looks like I have a bunch of designs to get working on!

My blog traffic is also growing which is awesome to see! Thank you to everyone who has been checking out my posts. I am going to start adding the traffic reports also so you guys can get an idea of how the website is growing also. I really started to work on my Pinterest account this month building my boards and starting to pin some quality content to increase my followers and will continue to do that moving forward and I have seen an amazing boost in traffic from it which is awesome!

Social Media Growth

This is another area I have been working on growing across the board and have started to see some good growth in followers and really wanted to track this also to see how my strategies were working and to look back and see the growth I was gaining in each account in relation to the amount of effort or tactics I used in that month.

I have just started an email list to keep in touch with my readers and anyone who has found interest in this blog and it will also allow me to give out news updates in the future when I run a contest or giveaway.

May 29, 2016

Just a quick post I wanted to quickly show some brands of Denim Jeans that I have found while researching that can bring in some very good profits. They are very easy to photograph and ship but harder to find. These do tend to sell a bit faster than some of your other items also!

How to start a WordPress Blog in 10 Minutes on Bluehost

May 22, 2016

Click here to start a blog on WordPress, then use the tutorial below for the easy directions.

If you’re looking to start a WordPress blog for cheap, then choosing Bluehost for your hosting needs may be your answer. Bluehost has been an amazing web host for me for awhile now and I have been nothing but happy with the speed and ease of use it provides.

I have worked out a deal with Bluehost that offers and exclusive price through my affiliate link for just 3.49 per month and a free domain name! Below is a step by step guide to set up your blog.

Step 1: Choosing a web host

There are many hosting companies out there, but for a WordPress site, Bluehost should definitely be at the top of anyone’s list. Bluehost is the only hosting service officially recommended by WordPress and has been the number-one recommended hosting service for their platform for almost 10 years. There are many reasons why Bluehost is so highly recommended, but here are just a few:

Premium customer service, reliability and usability
Easy-to-use control panel
Custom-built servers to provide the most stable and reliable hosting environment
Quickly get started with our one-click WordPress install provided by MOJO Marketplace
Expert, in-house technical support provided 24 hours a day, 7 days a week
Unlimited websites, email accounts, and domains – all on one account at an affordable price
No gimmicks, no contracts. Enjoy the comfort of a 30-day money back guarantee and the option to cancel at any time.
And to sweeten the deal even more, if you sign up through this tutorial, you’ll get a special offer of shared hosting at $3.49/month for 36 months, as well as a free domain name for a year!

To set up your hosting account with Bluehost, follow the steps below. It will speed up the process to think of a domain name you want to use and to have your credit card for payment ready to go before you get started.

Step 2. Set up your hosting account

To get started, go to Bluehost’s home page and click “Sign Up Now.”

~Here Is a Video to help walk you through the process~

Next, you need to choose a domain name for your site. If you already own a domain name, you can enter it here, and you will just have to go through a few extra steps to make sure you get your DNS pointed to Bluehost. If you don’t already have a domain name, you can purchase one from right in the sign up process, and the best part is, it comes free with your new hosting account purchase.

How-to-setup-a-WordPress-Blog

Once you’ve entered a domain name, you’ll fill in your personal information

How-to-setup-a-WordPress-Blog-4

Then, you’ll choose which hosting package you want. Normal, shared hosting is priced at 12, 24 and 36-month terms. To help save you money, the longer term you purchase, the lower the monthly rate will be. For example, by choosing a 36-month hosting term, you can get the great introductory rate of $3.49/month. And, because you’ve chosen to host with Bluehost, if you ever need more than a shared hosting account, Bluehost provides seamless upgrades to VPS or dedicated server hosting accounts from inside your control panel.

There are few other offers provided at sign up, which you can include at your discretion. One I recommend is Domain Privacy, a paid service that allows personal information to be kept private on WHOIS databases.

How-to-setup-a-WordPress-Blog-4

How-to-setup-a-WordPress-Blog-6

After you’ve filled in your information and chosen your hosting package, click the “Next” button to complete your purchase. You’ll then be asked to create a password for your account. It is required to have both capital and lowercase letters, a number, and a special character (?!#, etc.) in order to have a strong enough password to protect your account.

Now that you are all signed up and are able to log into your account, you can get started installing WordPress.

Step 3: Installing WordPress

This may seem like the most complicated step, but Bluehost has worked hard to make this one of the easiest things for you to do by using the new MOJO Marketplace for installing WordPress and other applications. In your cPanel, scroll to the section titled “MOJO Marketplace” and choose the “One-Click Installs” button. This will take you to a page inside MOJO Marketplace called Scripts and Platforms. The blog section is at the very top, so all you have to do here is click on the WordPress icon.

How-to-setup-a-WordPress-Blog-7

This will open the installation window. Click on the green “Start” button that will start the WordPress installation process, which has a few easy steps.

How-to-setup-a-WordPress-Blog-8 (1)

Step 1: Choose where you want to install WordPress

This can be any domain on your account, or a subdomain or a folder for one of your domains. Next, click on “Check Domain,” which will make sure the domain is assigned and pointing to your account. You may get a warning that you are overwriting files, but as long as you don’t have another website built yet, you can check the box and continue. This is mostly to make sure that you really want to install in that location. If you do have other sites built, you will want to make sure you’re not overwriting something important.

How-to-setup-a-WordPress-Blog-9

Step 2: Show advanced options

This section allows you to set up your own username and password for your WordPress install. IT is recommended to use a different username than “admin” and a very strong password. Make sure that the “Automatically create a new database for this installation” box is checked, unless you have a database already set up that you want to use.

Step 3: Agree to the Terms and Conditions

After you’ve read the terms and conditions, check the box indicating that you’ve done so, then click “Install Now.”

How-to-setup-a-WordPress-Blog-10

Now you’ll see the progress page, which will show you how far along the installation is. Once WordPress is fully installed, it will provide you with your site URL, the admin login URL, your username, and password. You will get a copy of this information, except your password, in your email as well. Make sure to keep it in a safe place.

How-to-setup-a-WordPress-Blog-11

Now you can log into your WordPress site by going to the admin login URL. Enter your username and password, then click “Log In.” This will take you to your WordPress dashboard. From here, you can control everything to do with your WordPress site, such as creating pages, writing posts, and changing the appearance.

Remember, if you sign up through this tutorial, you’ll receive a special offer of shared hosting at $3.49/month for 36 months, as well as a free domain name for a year!

10 Items that sold for great returns in my eBay store first quarter 2016

May 22, 2016

I wanted do do a quick post showcasing some of my bet sales in my eBay store during the first quarter this year. All of the of these were purchased at either garage sales or thrift stores for less than $10.00 and the shipping was paid for by the buyer. I have shown screenshots of the sold listings from the 10 items above, enjoy!
